The 阿斯托里亚港 understands some cruise passengers are mobility impaired, or simply may not desire to venture beyond the cruise pier. To accommodate those passengers, the 阿斯托里亚港 and the greater Astoria community are committed to providing a “taste of Astoria” - right on the pier! These activities do not conflict with scheduled shore excursions, which we understand are essential to cruise business.

On the ship’s first arrival in our port, Port officials and local government representatives exchange plaques and gifts with the ship’s Captain in an official ceremony.

Astoria Sunday Market coordinates up to 22 vendors at the Port during visits by Cruise Ships. 各种各样的艺术, 珠宝, and souvenir crafts are made by the representing vendor so cruise passengers are meeting regional artists and craftspeople while shopping. The Pier offers a beautiful backdrop for the vendors as they stroll through the Market.

Clatsop 克鲁斯主机 is a non-profit group comprised of over 100 volunteers who -- dressed in distinctive navy blue vests and jackets -- greet passengers upon arrival; sell passenger and crew bus tickets that move them around town; and provide directions, helpful tips and historical information at locations in downtown Astoria, at the Columbia River Maritime Museum and along the River Walk. Their goal is to make sure passengers feel welcomed to our town.

We have not forgotten those passengers not booking a shore excursion, or the cruise ship crews. 为他们的方便, bus service is available which departs every thirty minutes that the ship is in port. Passenger shuttle buses will convey riders from the pier to downtown Astoria. All-day passes are available for $15.成人每人00美元，10美元.00每个孩子.
